The Energy Village is a quality site, ideally located to local services and transport links, the site benefits from safe pedestrian and cycle routes, pleasant landscaping and attractive amenity garden and open space facilities. The Energy Village site is adjacent to town centre shops and services enhancing the opportunity for recruiting and retaining employees. Planned developments include childcare facilities, fitness club and restaurant / wine bar in addition to further office and commercial developments.

The commercial zones benefit from considered landscaping, maintained by Green Sources, the grounds maintenance division of SEV. Businesses can opt in to purchase this service for their individual plots.

Sherwood Energy Village attracts businesses that recognise that there are tangible business benefits in operating to energy efficient and environmental standards. SEV works with inward locators to ensure that buildings on site are energy efficient and healthy working environments. There is, at last, a greater acceptance that attention to waste minimisation can increase a company’s bottom line profitability. SEV can work closely with developers and their design teams on issues ranging from materials, design, local information, transport issues and much more.

 In addition to development plots there will be offices to rent within the prestigious E-Centre. The E-Centre is SEV’s own headquarters which opened in April 2006 and offers secure office accommodation; central services; restaurant facility; transitional work points and parking facilities (see E-Centre).
