Sherwood Energy Village (SEV) is the trading name of “Sherwood Environmental Village Ltd.” It is also the name of the 36-hectare (91-acre) site we own in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire in the East Midlands region of England. Our organisation was founded in 1996, which is also the same year we bought the site from British Coal.
The organisation has a unique insight into social, environmental and economic regeneration. (See Holistic Development) Sherwood Energy Village is delivering holistic sustainable development in a commercial setting.
In 2005 Sherwood Energy Village has won the accolade of Enterprising Britain 2005 in a national competition organised by H.M. Treasury, in the same year it was also awarded the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) East Midlands Regional award for Regeneration and the overall Best Project award (see Events).
